The Foothills Golf Club plays through the desert vale beneath the clubhouse, where a large knoll defines the rolling terrain and separates the front and back nines. Except for a few holes, the course is grass from tee to green. From the appropriate tees, the few moderate expanses of natural terrain are not severe and are easily carried. No heroics are required, but the risk/reward factor is very apparent on every hole.
