Stonecreek touts a challenging but very playable layout by the renowned golf architectural firm of Arthur Hills and Associates. Hills determined that the most obvious landmark could not be avoided or denied, so he created some outstanding risk/reward challenges along the spruced-up wash, renamed Stonecreek. A rock-laden dry wash on some holes and a treacherous water hazard on others, this feature is the focus of the course's strategy. The rule of thumb on most holes is: the closer the shot is to Stonecreek, the easier the next shot becomes. Overall, Stonecreek is an extremely fair test - rewarding good execution but not severly penalizing less-than-perfect shots. Slope = 134 / **** Click on an image to enlarge
